2010 IFAF Womens World Championship of American Football logo introduced on IFAF.ORG Website


 

The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) has introduced the official logo for the inaugural 2010 IFAF Women’s World Championship that will be played in Sweden this summer:

 

 

 

The logo can be downloaded at www.IFAF.org and is also featured at the event’s social media page www.facebook.com/IFAFWWC.

 

The world’s best female American Football players from six countries – Austria, Canada, Finland, Germany, Sweden and the United States – will converge on Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden, for the historic first-ever international competition for women at the Zinkensdamms IP Stadium.

 

The 2010 IFAF Women’s World Championship will kick off on Sunday, June 27 and the top two teams determined by group play will meet in the IFAF Women’s World Championship Gold Medal Game on Saturday, July 3 following the Bronze Medal and fifth placed games.

 

USA Football, the sport’s national governing body on youth and amateur levels, has announced that Chicago-area native JOHN KONECKI will serve as the head coach of USA Football’s 2010 Women’s National Team. Team USA will be assembled and managed in partnership with the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL), which enters its 10th season next month and consists of more than 1,800 female athletes across 51 teams.
