USA Hockey today announced that nine cities have been selected as host sites for the 2010 USA Hockey Youth, Girls' and Women's National Championships. The women's division championships will be held March 28-30, while the championships for the youth and girls' divisions will occur April 7-11.

The Bulldogs accumulated 17-of-19 first-place votes for 188 points and will open the season Friday (October 3) in a non-conference match-up at Niagara University at 7 p.m. ET.

England and Great Britain midfielder Jennie Bimson has today officially confirmed her decision to retire from international hockey with immediate effect.

Great Britain Hockey has today announced the women’s youth training squad (Under 21 age group) in preparation for the 2009 Australian Youth Olympic Festival. University of Minnesota Duluth Selected as Preseason No. 1 in USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll

USA Hockey today announced the 22-player U.S. Women’s Select Team that will compete in the Women’s Four Nations Cup in Lake Placid, N.Y., from November 4-9. Highlighting the roster are 18 members of the 2008 U.S. Women's National Team that won the gold medal at the International Ice Hockey Federation World Women's Championship in April.

England women have accepted an invitation to play two Test Matches against Germany at the beginning of October. Despite a 2-0 defeat against Australia – a side who missed out on a semi-final place by goal difference – Great Britain finished their 2008 Olympic campaign in sixth spot, three places above their world ranking.
