Members of Team USA to Compete at Two International Events this Week

U.S. athletes will compete at 2014 Rostelecom Cup, the fourth event of the 2014 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, Nov. 14-16 in Moscow, while four athletes will compete at 2014 Ice Challenge Nov. 13-16 in Graz, Austria.

ROSTELECOM CUP

Competition will take place Friday and Saturday from the Small Sports Arena of Olympic Complex Luzhniki in Moscow. NBC will air competition coverage from 4-6 p.m. (ET) Sunday, Nov. 16. In addition, Universal Sports will air same-day coverage throughout the weekend. Icenetwork Season Pass subscribers will have access to live video from both days of competition. Ladies

Mirai Nagasu, the 2014 U.S. bronze medalist, will compete in her second Grand Prix event of the season. She finished sixth three weeks ago 2014 Hilton HHonors Skate America. Angela Wang will make her career Grand Prix debut. She has two medals to her credit this season, winning silver at the Autumn Classic International and bronze at Lombardia Trophy. Ashley Cain began her Grand Prix debut just last week, finishing 10th at Cup of China.

Pairs

Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier, the 2013 World Junior champions, won the silver medal at 2014 Skate America. In their Grand Prix debut last week in China, Jessica Noelle Calalang and Zack Sidhu finished seventh. DeeDee Leng and Simon Shnapir, who teamed up in May, will make their competitive debut in Russia. Shnapir is a two-time reigning U.S. champion and 2014 Olympian with former partner Marissa Castelli.

Ice dance

Madison Chock and Evan Bates, 2014 Olympians and U.S. silver medalists, won their first Grand Prix title at Skate America last month. Alexandra Aldridge and Daniel Eaton finished sixth at Skate Canada, while Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker, the reigning World Junior champions, will make their Grand Prix debut.
