SALAMANCA (EuroLeague Women) – With another Liga Femenina title in the trophy cabinet alongside the Copa De La Reina and Spanish SuperCup, Perfumerias Avenida are acting quickly to get the core of their roster in place early for next season.
With Silvia Dominguez, Maria Asurmendi and Adaora Elonu already confirmed, veteran Brazilian Erika Souza is back on board and likely to retire in an Avenida vest. Ready to offer her strength and vast experience under the hoop she has penned a two-year deal that will take her to the spring of 2020 - having been MVP in the decisive game of the Finals.
A two year contract has also been agreed with Spanish international Laura Gil, who will embark on her third-straight season with the club, having also played in Salamanca earlier in her career. There is also a third consecutive year pending for the versatile Krisi Givens.
Meanwhile, Angelica Robinson, who is in her second spell with the club, is also back after the naturalized Montenegro player agreed to extend into 2018-19. Robinson was MVP of the Copa De La Reina Final.
One new face in the locker room will be Latvia national team star Aija Putnina, who arrives via Mersin and will also be playing on Spanish soil with her country at the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 in Tenerife.
A Gutsy performance from both sides
