Russia 'stop' China in Fort Lauderdale (USA)

Lausanne (SUI), May 14, 2007 – Divers from the Russia in the women’s field, ‘stopped’ the Chinese domination at the third meet of the 2007 FINA Diving Grand Prix, held in Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA) from May 10-13.

Amongst women, Yulia Pakhalina, from Russia, conquered two titles – in the individual and synchro (with Anastassia Posdniakova) 3m springboard. The 10m platform events (individual and synchro) were dominated by the Chinese divers.

Athletes from Australia, Canada, Germany and Italy also won medals in Fort Lauderdale.

The next meet of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2007 (which has seven events) will take place in Moscow (RUS), from May 31-June 3.
