  • The Thunderbirds’ Chelsea Pitman leads the league for most goal assists, with 19 recorded in Round 1.
  • Two Swifts players made their Australian league debut in Round 1, Sam Wallace and Helen Housby.
  • Three Thunderbirds players made their national league debut in Round 1, Malysha Kelly, Fiona Themann and Gia Abernethy (training partner and temporary replacement player).
  • The Swifts have won six of 10 games against the Thunderbirds played in Sydney between 2008 – 2016.
  • The Swifts average winning margin against the Thunderbirds is 12.3 goals. The Thunderbirds have an average winning margin of 8.7 goals against the Swifts.
  • The Swifts will host the first game of the league’s inaugural double header, with fans given access to watch back-to-back clashes at Qudos Bank Arena. There are seven double headers scheduled around Australia during the home and away season.
  • The national league crowd record at Qudos Bank Arena is 13,314 attendees, set in Round 9, 2016 when the Swifts hosted the Firebirds.
