Given our positive experience of Fresh Foam last season we were eager to try the second version of the Fresh Foam 980, the Fresh Foam Boracay.
After last season’s debut of the New Balance Fresh Foam 980, the brand has evolved the data-driven technology to two new styles: the Fresh Foam Zante and the Fresh Foam Boracay.
We had the chance to try out the Boracay!!! Hopefully the Zante will follow soon
The Boracay weighs in at just under 10oz, and will retain it’s 4mm drop platform.
The Boracay is the update to the 980v1. It has a wider forefoot for better tuned-for-you landings and is just a touch softer in the toe cap.
I have quite high arches so a performance shoe is what I need. I loved last season's Fresh Foam 980v1 I got on really well with it. I played netball aswell as running. This year the updated Boracay seems to feel more softer and more cushioned on landings. The full length fresh foam technology is amazing in my opinion.
If you have never tried the Fresh Foam before, I don't think you'll be disappointed but give it a go.
Slip on the Fresh Foam Boracay for a ride as soft and smooth as the sands of the Philippines. An update to the 980, this neutral trainer features a plush Fresh Foam midsole geometrically designed to soften impact and respond to individual runner's striking patterns for stable heel-to-toe transitions. Synthetic overlays line a breathable mesh upper for a secure fit, while a low offset design offers a natural feel that will keep your stride as steady as an ocean breeze.
