Summer is here, but instead of hiding out in the air conditioning, Tucson Roller Derby is heating things up with even more derby action. Join us at the TRD Wreckhouse on June 1st as not one, not two, but all three of your hometown teams battle it out - against each other!
This is a Round Robin not to be missed as the Furious Truckstop Waitresses, VICE Squad, and the Copper Queens fight for total Tucson domination. Between bouts, help support the league by dishing out a buck or two for Chuck-a-Duck. Some lucky ducks might even win prizes! Be sure buy those tickets early, as this will be your last chance in June to see all your favorite rollergirls in action at the Wreckhouse.
Copper Queen and Bandolera Ema Sculator (K9) may strike fear into skaters' hearts on the track, but when she's off the track, she deals in the warm and fuzzy - literally!
Ema operates the non-profit Woofs without Roofs, a division of the PAWS Foundation and TRD's charity for the month of June. Woofs without Roofs is a program that strives to improve public health and safety within Southern Arizona by offering quality care for the pets of Tucson's homeless people. It provides basic medical care, like free examinations, vaccinations, and parasite control, as well as pet-related supplies, such as leashes, collars, bowls, and medication.
