England’s Rachel Jennings and Anna Scott head for Ireland



Rachel 18, is the English girls’ champion and plays at Izaak Walton in Staffordshire. She was a quarter-finalist in the English close amateur championship at Littlestone in May.

 

 

Anna 21, from Consett & District, Durham, is a student at Georgia State University in the USA. She reached the semi-finals of the English championship on her first competitive outing of the year after injury had ruled her out of the game for seven months.  

 

The Irish strokeplay championship is a 54 hole event which has attracted an international field. All competitors play two rounds on Saturday, June 30 with the top 40 and ties going forward to play the final round on the Sunday.
