The newly appointed coach of Las Leonas, Emanuel Roggero has announced his list of players who will represent Argentina in the semi-finals of the Investec World League, the new international tournament organized by the International Hockey Federation, from 22 and up to June 30 in London.

The squad of eighteen will include Luciana Aymar, voted a world record seven times FIH Player of the Year as captain. Also noticeable in the line-up will be Rosario Luchetti, Noel Barrionuevo and Carla Rebecchi. Roggero’s original new selection called to CENARD for team training had included an unprecedented four goal keepers including Lau Del Colle and the surprise return of Belen Succi who had left international hockey for motherhood in Olympic year . Both are not included in this trip but he does include Laura Aladro who hasn’t played in an international since 2011.

Las Leonas are in pool group A Group along with China, Italy and the United States (England in Group B with Australia , Spain and RSA) Argentina will play three games in the first round against USA on 22nd June then subsequently China on Sunday. After a day of rest they will play Italy 25th (Check here on the England Hockey website for the full MATCH SCEDULE ) No team will be eliminated in the first round pool – the quarterfinals will be played Thursday 27th and the semis on Saturday with Sunday 30th seeing the finals.
