England A pose Questions for World Champions

New Zealand's Silver Ferns won their final tour match 66-42 against England A in front of a capacity crowd at Earl's Court this evening.

But the World Champions had were far from convincing for long periods of play, and only some strong shooting from Tutaia and debutante Jade Topia, who scored a perfect 11/11 in the third quarter allowed them to pull clear of trouble.

For England, 17 year old Jo Harten was the stand out, shooting 28/30 despite intense pressure from Silver Fern Anna Scarlett.  Brunel Hurricanes' Naida Hutchinson had another excellent game in defence, and was well supported by her England squad colleagues Naomi Siddall and Clare Elsley, who both put in solid defensive performances at WD and C respectively.

Starting line ups:

England:  GS Harten, GA Wood, WA Ezeogu, C Elsley, WD Siddall, GD Hutchinson, GK Fletcher
Changes/substitutions:  3rd Q:  Wood to GS, Harten to GA, C Binns, WD Seaton, GD Francis, GK Beckford Chambers,  4th Q:  Harten to GS, Wood to GA, Siddall to WD,

New Zealand:  GS Van Dyk, GA Te Huna, WA Wilson, C Langman, WD Scanlan, GD Henry, GK Scarlett

Changes/substitutions and shooting statistics to follow shortly
