England Women continued their T20 World Cup campaign with a four wicket win over Ireland Women.
Ireland won the toss and chose to bat first. England bowled Ireland out in 18.2 overs, with eight wickets falling to spin trio Sophie Ecclestone, Charlie Dean and Sarah Glenn. Ecclestone finishing with 3-13, Dean 2-26 and Glenn 3-19. Ireland set England 105 to win, thanks in no small part to 36 runs from 37 balls from opener Gaby Lewis.
In England's chase an impressive 51 from 22 from player-of-the-match Alice Capsey helped England get above the required run rate. Before Katherine Sciver-Brunt hit the winning runs inside the 15th over. Cara Murray was the pick of Ireland's bowlers with 3-15.
