The Women´s Greek team has crowned themselves as the new World champions beating hometeam China 8-9 in the championship Final on Friday. It is the first world title in team historie. Greece was the better side for most of the match but China made a strong comeback in final phase coming back from trailing 6-9 to score 8-9 with over a minute to play. An extraman opportunity with twenty seconds left was not converted which allowed Greece to play out the final seconds and secure their first title.
