LAAX is prepared for the most important European snowboard event: LAAX OPEN

The LAAX Open 2017 takes place from January 16 to 21, 2016. It’s a happening for everyone, a snowboard event with the best of the best, a contest with snowboard icons, heroes and newcomers. Above all though, it’s a logical consequence of the LAAX roots. World class riders like the Olympic Champions Iouri Podladtchikov and Jamie Anderson, 2016 LAAX OPEN winners Mark McMorris and Ayumu Hirano guarantee a top-class sports event. The freestyle lifestyle experience culminates with music events, art and gourmet treats.

 


Big finals on January 20 and 21, 2017

For one week the anyway freestyle driven resort of LAAX will be gathered additionally by 200 pro riders starting in the disciplines slopestyle and halfpipe up on Crap Sogn Gion mountain. Performing in the qualifier rounds, battling in the semi-finals to reach finally a spot in the finals – being so close to win the title, gain glory and earn world snowboarding points. Drop-in, take-off, rotations, airtime – looks so easy and spectacular in the same moment. Technics, style, creativity. That’s when the LAAX OPEN experiences its sportive highlight. The finals for women and men will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 in slopestyle and on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in halfpipe.

LAAX ist bereit für den wichtigsten europäischen Snowboard Event: LAAX OPEN vom 16.-21. Januar 2017

 

(LAAX, SUI – 12.1.2017) – Vom 16. bis 21. Januar 2017 finden die LAAX OPEN 2017 statt. Ein Snowboard Event vom Feinsten, eine Veranstaltung mit den aktuell besten Contestfahrern der Welt, mit Snowboard Ikonen, Heroes und Newcomern. Eine logische Konsequenz der LAAX Geschichte, den sogenannten LAAX roots. Weltklasse Rider wie die amtierenden Olympiasieger Iouri Podladtchikov und Jamie Anderson oder Vorjahressieger Mark McMorris und Ayumu Hirano sind Garanten für ein hochkarätiges sportliches Ereignis. Komplettiert wird das Freestyle-Lifestyle Erlebnis mit Konzerten, Kunst und Kulinarik.

 

Grosse sportliche Finals am 20./21.1.2017

Eine Woche lang beleben das freestyle-affine LAAX noch zusätzlich 200 Profi-Snowboarder und Snowboarderinnen aus 22 Ländern, die am Crap Sogn Gion in den Disziplinen Slopestyle und Halfpipe starten. Sie beginnen mit der Qualifikation, steigern ihre Performances in den Halbfinals, um schliesslich die Endrunde zu erreichen, in der es um Titel, Ruhm und Weltcup-Punkte geht. Abheben, Rotationen, Luftstand, alles easy, alles atemberaubend, Technik, Style, Kreativität. Da erleben die LAAX OPEN ihren sportlichen Höhepunkt. Die Finals der Damen und Herren finden am Freitag, 20.1.2017, im Slopestyle und am Samstag, 22.1.2017, in der Halfpipe statt.
