Samoa claimed 13th place at the Vitality Netball World Cup while Sri Lanka secured 15th as both teams completed their campaigns today.
The morning's action saw 13th-16th positions decided, with Samoa beating Fiji (the competition's 14th-place finishers) 53-42, and Sri Lanka defeating Singapore (who finish winless and in 16th place) 78-57.
That match was notable for Tharjini Sivalingam, the Sri Lankan goal shooter, scoring a tournament record high individual score of 77, beating the 76 goals she netted against the same opposition earlier on in the competition.
