BIG AIR MEN’S FINALS

The battle to become the first GWA Wingfoil Big Air World Champions at the iconic spot ofGran Canaria’s Pozo Izquierdo in perfect, cranking winds was one for the ages.

Rattotti showcased his fine form today, soaring to the top of the height leaderboard with an impressive 11.2-meter jump. Throughout the finals, he continued his spectacular performance, earning an overall score of 18.27. Not only did Rattotti secure his first-ever podium finish, but he also made history as the first-ever GWA Wingfoil Big Air World Champion.

“It is just a dream. I can’t explain how good it feels to do this here in Pozo Izquierdo. I’m so happy. It’s so nice.” – Julien Rattotti said.

BIG AIR WOMEN’S FINALS

The women persevered through extremely tough conditions today, leading to an incredibly tight final. While Nia Suardiaz aimed for the win, Mar de Arce Sanchez proved unstoppable in the challenging conditions, securing victory by a mere fraction of a point. She was rightfully crowned the GWA Wingfoil Big Air World Champion 2023.
