Mexico's Amalia Perez completed a gold medal hat-trick at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games after she won the women's -55kg event on Saturday (10 September), having won the -52kg competition at Beijing 2008 and the -60kg in London four years later.
The 43-year-old lifted a world record 130kg in her third attempt – 3kg more than silver medallist Esther Oyema of Nigeria – to claim the fifth Paralympic medal of her career.
