What's in Store for the 2023 National Football League?

The National Football League is the biggest professional men’s football league in the world. Every season, 32 teams all over the United States compete against each other from August to February. The 2023 NFL season is the 103rd run of the league since its inception on September 17, 1920.

The latest title holder of the league is the Kansas City Chiefs. More than who will win in the upcoming season, there are more things to look forward to in the 2023 NFL. Check out this guide to see what’s in store for the 103rd run of the league.

Leading Teams to Win 2023 NFL

Even before the start of the training camps, it’s good that you have a clear idea of which teams will perform well throughout this season. Here are five of the potential champions of Super Bowl LVIII!

Philadelphia Eagles

They fell short in their quest for the Super Bowl LVII, but this doesn't mean they are disheartened to pursue the title this year. With Jalen Hurts, the MVP runner-up in the previous season, this team will surely come back stronger this season.

Besides Hurths, the Eagles have strong receivers in DeVonta Smith. Dallas Goedert, and A.J. Brown. The return of Jason Kelce will even make the Eagles a favorite NFL team betting option. It’s no surprise many NFL experts are tagging the Eagles as the most intimidating team in this year’s run of the NFL.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have the young and talented Patrick Mahomes on their roster. But besides Mahomes, the team is a combination of skilled footballers like Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Chris Jones, Kadarius Toney, Skky Moore, Rashee Rice, and Justyn Ross. The second-best player to Patrick Mahomes is Travis Kalce, who is expected to excel this season as much as the last.

San Francisco 49ers

Quarterback Brock Purdy has an elbow injury, a significant concern for the San Francisco 49ers. Hopefully, Purdy can recover and return to the league, so the 49ers never have to worry. If Purdy can’t go in week 1, Trey Lance can also be a reliable quarterback to count on. With 55 career NFL stats, Sam Darnold is also an asset to the team this season.

Cincinnati Bengals

Cincinnati Bengals is considered one of the top-performing teams in the 2023 NFL. However, with their decision not to fortify the running back and tight end, they only have Chase Brown, Chris Evans, and Trayveon Williams to rely on as running backs.

The team also has Irv Smith Jr. at tight end. They’ve added Orlando Brown Jr. as the left tackle, but Jonah Williams, who requested a trade, isn’t sure to return. With his ACL injury, it’s still unsure if La’el Collins can return to play for the team this season. In the defense, the team has Nick Scott and Dax Hill.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys got a pretty solid defense with first-round pick Mazi Smith. The pass-rushing duo of  Demarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons makes the team’s front even more formidable. The team is well-stocked in these positions, with Stephen Gilmore at the corner, linebacker Damone Clark, and defensive back DaRon Bland. The team has Cooper Rush in the offense to replace Dak Prescott.
